Iran: Court upholds death sentences against four ‘ruffians’

Washington, 18 June (IranVNC)—Iran’s Supreme Court, on Wednesday upheld the death sentences handed down to four individuals charged with “lawless behavior”, according to Mehr News Agency.
“These four individuals are ruffians who had been already arrested and transferred to jail and are under heavy bails,” said Mahmoud Salarkia, the deputy prosecutor-general for prison affairs for Greater Tehran was reported by Mehr News as saying.
Salarkia did not provide more details on the charges brought against the accused or the dates of their arrests and trials.
