AHMADINEJAD – ECONOMY – DEMOCRACY

Washington, 31 October (IranVNC)— In a speech on 29 October in Lorestan Province, Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad accused the US government of “printing bogus dollar notes” and causing the current financial crisis in the world. He vented more anti-US remarks a day later when he predicted “the end of the era of modern economics and liberal democracy.”

“Humankind should celebrate the death of so-called modern economics and the end of the concept of liberalism,” Ahmadinejad said today, in a meeting between his accompanying cabinet members and local government officials, according to Mehr news agency reports. They are history now and will be tucked away at the far end of library shelves,” he said.

While praising the people of Lorestan for their courageous and selfless resistance and stand against ill-wishers and the enemies of the Iranian nation, he went on criticize the “arrogance of the West, saying: ““The Western world is now a captive of its own selfishness, plunders and unlawful gains while it has reached a cultural and economic impasse…We are delighted that the arrogant and ungodly ones have reached the end of the line,” Ahmadinejad said.
