Mahbubeh Hoseynzadeh in her blog entitled “thornbird” refers to the “religious education teachers” [Persian: mo’aleman-e parvareshi] at schools, whose main duty is to teach Shari’ah and religious studies to children and adolescents at schools and to supervise the behaviour and dress-code of the students.
She thinks that such teachers are not as active as they used to be. However, she then realizes that they are still present at educational establishments and continue to advise the youth and to pressurize them. She realizes that the presence of Ahmadinezhad’s government has made them even more active:

“… The religious education teachers were the strangest creatures in those days – they observed the strictest Islamic dress-code and spoke in class about the corridors of fire in Hell… They talked about women who were hanged from their hair in Hell’s corridors because na-mahram [non-family or stranger] men had seen their hair…They talked of weird and terrible tortures against girls who befriended na-mahram boys… and turned into strange creatures in the other world….
“When I was at Middle School, all my days passed with the fear of God, always thinking how terrifying He is to be able to torture people in such a way… It is interesting that I thought that this was something that only happened during our times. But later on, I realized that these kinds of treatment are still treated continuing.”

*Political and social issues

In the blog entitled “racism in Iran”, Maraghali refers to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights concerning people’s freedom and dignity and criticizes racial and ethnic discrimination in Iran. He writes:

“…As you know, human rights apply to every individual no matter what their language, ethnicity and nationality are. Unfortunately, Iranian governments, which have never abided by any law, do not observe such rights … Why should Persian be the only language of the country?... Government systems in the past century were such that they allowed those living in the capital to decide for the entire country, the result of which has been the concentration of all the wealth in Tehran…One can clearly feel how racism and discrimination are being practiced. Why should Iran’s capital assets be only invested in ethnically Persian-inhabited cities when the ethnic-Persian community comprises merely 30 to 40 per cent of Iran’s population.”

Rudi and Paria in their blog entitled “Publication” have criticized the arrest of activist students and the continuation of summons, threats and convictions of students. Along with a number of other civil activists and bloggers, they have announced the 16 February as the day to protest against the arrest of students. They write:

“…By repressing us, the Islamic state attempts to contain the entire freedom and equality movement in Iran.
“Our friends, freedom and equality-seeking students, are still in torture dens. The freedom and equality-seeking movement is still under the pressure of security bodies. We should defeat the suppressors and we need your help to succeed.
“We are therefore announcing the 16 February to be the day for a nationwide protest against the Islamic Republic and the day for calling for the freedom of all jailed students. We call on you, wherever you are, to call for the immediate freedom of all those arrested and an end to the repression of freedom-seekers, through whatever means you deem appropriate.”

A writer called “crazy drunk” in his blog entitled “black wine” considers his surrounding world full of envies. He says:

“… It is a world in which some envy the position of others:
“Rural girls think of towns and cities, and urban girls dream of villages,
“Small men think of the comfort and joy of great men. Great men think of the calm and relaxation of small men…
“O God, which bridges have collapsed in the world and where, preventing us all from reaching our homes?”
